Director, Public Relations

The primary functions of this position are to (1) work with client publicity teams to generate publicity for select Propper Daley social impact clients, and (2) generate greater awareness for Propper Daley as an agency.  Key methods through which you will do this include:

  • Developing client strategies and activation plans, in concert with the Co-Presidents, Co-Heads of the Social Impact Practice, and Vice President of Digital Strategy.

  • Thoughtfully and proactively pitching client stories and campaigns to appropriate media outlets.  

  • Securing meaningful press hits that meet client goals.

  • Creating comprehensive PR reports for Client Services team, to share with clients.

  • Presenting PR plans to clients, and interfacing with client publicity support teams as appropriate.

  • Developing and executing an annual agency publicity plan and calendar.

  • Pitching agency Co-Presidents, senior staff and agency client case studies to trade media outlets that cover entertainment, corporate social responsibility, and philanthropy.

  • Working with the Director of Business Development to create an annual target list of speaking opportunities for agency Co-Presidents and senior staff and successfully securing desired speaking roles.

  • Reviewing quarterly client impact reports, to refresh agency publicity plans.

  • Drafting blog and social media posts of Propper Daley client success stories, for publication through Propper Daley communication channels.

  • Min 5 years of PR experience

  • Social Impact, PR, Marketing, Advertising or other agency experience

  • Nonprofit, Corporate Social Responsibility, Philanthropy or other social impact experience

  • Superior presentation skills (both written and oral)

  • Interest in entertainment (music, movies, pop culture, gaming etc)

  • A sense of humor

Additional position requirements:

  • Proven track record of media hits and relevant case studies.

Position reports to: SVP Marketing & Communications
